Oakland County commissioners back Bouchard

Oakland County- A majority of the Republican Oakland County commissioners announced today that Mike Bouchard is their candidate for governor. This impressive show of support for the Republican candidate follows the recent endorsements by most of Oakland County’s state representatives.

“Mike Bouchard continues to demonstrate his abilities as a leader, administrator and law-enforcement professional,” said Commission Chair Bill Bullard. “He clearly has the credentials to make a difference for Michigan on Day One. Michigan needs to move forward and Mike Bouchard is the candidate who is most qualified to take our state where it needs to go.”

“Mike Bouchard has proven time and again that he has the experience and knowledge to get the job done,” said Commission Vice Chair Mike Gingell. “Mike has a strong record of making the tough choices needed to ensure a bright future for Michigan and has demonstrated that he is a person of action.”

“The tremendous support from Oakland County is very much appreciated,” said Bouchard. “It means a lot to have the trust and confidence of such high-caliber men and women. I respect the abilities and accomplishments of these commissioners and am tremendously honored to have them on my team.”

Other members of the Bouchard team include former North Carolina Senator Elizabeth Dole, former Lt. Gov. Connie Binsfeld, former first lady Michelle Engler, former Michigan Republican Party co-chair Jane Abraham, Bishop Ira Combs and the majority of Oakland County’s state representatives. Bouchard’s campaign chair is Oakland County Executive L. Brooks Patterson.
