Dear Mr. Bouchard:
My company specializes in the development of commericial rest areas on our Nation's Turnpikes. I fully support your suggestion about privatizing conventional rest areas as found on the non-tolled portion of the Interstate Highway System. In the late 1980's, the Michigan DOT conducted a Study to determine the impacts of commercializing rest areas located near Kalamazoo. The public outcry at a public meeting was so vocal that the Governor canceled the project the very next day! I am alerting you of this since it could possibly impact your campaign. Once you are elected, I would be pleased to provide our consulting services to properly conduct such a high profile study that would include a role for all stakeholders and would generate solutions for implementation. This is a highly emotional initiative: mom's and pop's only see potential hardships. They need to see opportunity. My web page contains all of our contact imformation
Best of luck,
