Bouchard announces Coalition of Sheriffs endorsement
Oakland County - Mike Bouchard, Republican candidate for governor and current sheriff of Oakland County, today announced the 37 members of his Coalition of Sheriffs.
The Coalition of Sheriffs is made up current Michigan Sheriffs who have endorsed Oakland County Sheriff Mike Bouchard’s candidacy for governor.
“I cannot think of any other person better suited for the Governor’s Office,” said Sheriff Lawrence Stelma of Kent County. “Mike Bouchard has proved to be a leader among his peers in the law enforcement community and will continue that same kind of leadership in Lansing.”
“Mike is a principled, common-sense conservative who has the strength and leadership needed to fix Lansing,” said Sherriff Bosscher of Missaukee County and President of Michigan Sheriffs Association. “As sheriff, he always worked to bring people together and do what’s right for Michigan. I know he will do the same as governor.”
“I am honored to have the support of my fellow sheriffs,” Bouchard said. “I know firsthand the challenge of being a county sheriff in these tough economic times. I will work very hard from Day One to ensure our law enforcement professionals have the tools needed to keep our communities safe.”
