Today in honor of Earth Day, I am pleased to announce the expansion of Operation Medicine Cabinet. This is an outstanding program that prevents prescription drugs from getting into the wrong hands and ensures that they are disposed of properly at several different law enforcement locations around Oakland County.
I first launched this program with Home Instead Senior Care, in July of 2009. Operation Medicine Cabinet illustrates my commitment to protecting public health and safety, addressing the needs of senior citizens and protecting our environment from problems caused by the improper disposal of medications.
