Yesterday, I officially filed for the governor’s race and put Lansing on notice that change is coming. This marks the beginning of the end of business as usual in Lansing. It’s time that taxpayers started getting the results they deserve. Each of these petition signatures represents a concerned Michigander who is demanding a new course for our state. We need to bring a new attitude to Lansing before we can bring jobs to Michigan. That will be my focus from Day One.
Every candidate claims to have a plan to turn Michigan around. But I’m the only one with the knowledge, experience and backbone to get things done. Our state can’t afford another chief executive who needs on-the-job training. I will hit the ground running and see to it that Michigan families get the responsive, productive government they pay for. I will make the tough decisions and if that means I’m a one-term governor, so be it. But make no mistake – there’s going to be a new sheriff in town and change is coming to Lansing.
I am humbled but energized by the incredible showing of support for my campaign. People are rightfully fed up with the status quo and believe that Michigan can do better. They know that under a Bouchard administration, we’ll fix Lansing and get Michigan back to work.
On a similar note, I am pleased to invite you to the grand opening of my Oakland campaign office on Sunday, May 16. I have already opened my Grand Rapids office and I am very excited to have offices located on both sides of the state. This is just the start of many office openings throughout Michigan for Team Bouchard. My family and I will be at the new headquarters at 2:00 p.m. located at 35975 Woodward Ave., Birmingham, 48009. Feel free to bring your friends and family. I hope to see you there!
Mike

I attended the May 1st gathering in Clintonville. I listened intently to the debate at the end of the day- and I am writing to say, from that moment on- there was no doubt that Mike Bouchard should be elected govenor. My check is en route.
Cox was arrogant, cocky and acted like he was made of mineral oil (very slick). He did not impress myself or the women I sat with. He is nothing more than the same old, same old when it comes to Michigan politics for the last 8 years. Top that off with that Jennifer was a strong Attorney General until she turned into a horrible Governor.
So- my smart car has the Mike Bouchard little sticker on it for the world to see.
I am in Kalamazoo, MI. and am willing to help promote your campaign in this area.
Clearly Mike Bouchard won the gubernatorial debate at the Americans for Prosperity Defending the American Dream. Mike Cox came across as arrogant and cocky and it seemed his only solution to anything was to bring a lawsuit. I think he shot himself in the foot by taking jabs at not only Mike Bouchard but also Pete Hoekstra. It was put very nicely by one of the candidates who said we should not be fighting with each other. My hat is off to Mike Bouchard for keeping his cool and showing what a classy guy he is.
